We challenged DIY bloggers to dive into the new Snapfish and bring their photos home in unexpected, beautiful ways. They totally knocked our socks off! Today, we’re sharing tips from Taryn Whiteaker of Design, Dining, and Diapers, who turned her master bedroom decor from drab to must-have with black and white wood wall panels.

Whenever I bring new artwork into our home, I try and make it personal. Whether or not it’s apparent, I want every piece to have meaning to my family. Moving into this house was a huge dream come true for us; it was something we had dreamt of for years and I never want to forget how hard we worked for it.
For these prints, I decided to walk down to the river by our house and capture a few abstract shots of a place that has become really special to our family. The river is just a 5 minute walk from our doorstep and we are there almost every day. There is an old wooden bridge that we walk over to get to the beach and I love looking at all the character it has developed over the years. The entire setting is so peaceful and beautiful and whenever we are there I feel like we escape from everything else. It’s our little spot. And I cannot believe it’s right in our backyard!
I am so happy with how the prints turned out!
