There are many different autoresponder services out there and it can be difficult to decide which ones is the one that you should use and will be the most effective. If you are not sure what to look for, here are some ideas to help you with your shopping and what features you may or may not want to look for.

When it comes to purchasing an autoresponder, you want to see how you pay for it. Many of the programs require a monthly fee for the service, so you will want to check out how that fee is derived and what you get with it.

What do you get with the price of your autoresponder? Some of them have a sliding scale where the more email addresses you have on your list, the more it costs. While the price per email address may go down, you are still paying more overall. Remember that your list will get larger as time goes on.



 

Find out what type of training or tutorials are available with the autoresponder that you decide to get. There are a lot of things that you can do with these programs, and you want to make sure that you are getting the most from them. If you try to figure it out on your own, you are likely to miss a lot of things.

Some of these programs give you a free trial that you can use to check things out. Take advantage of these if they are offered, as sometimes the best way of knowing if something is going to work for you is to actually use it. Some of these programs are much more user friendly than others, so it is helpful to try them out and see how they work for you.

Make sure you know what features you need for your business before you start shopping. Once you are out looking you may see features that you think would be great and that you didn’t realize were out there, but you ultimately do not need them. This is why a list before you shop is good; it will keep you from getting what you do not need.

See if they give a email delivery rate. Emails that are sent from a person’s email address tend to be caught by the spam filters, whereas emails that come out from these autoresponders tend to make their way through easier. They should be able to provide numbers as to what percentage of emails are delivered.



 

If you are still confused and not sure what program might be best for you, you may want to do some research on the Internet and find some forums or review sites where they discuss the various programs and the good and the bad. You can set up your account on these sites as well and ask your own questions, but make sure you search the history first to see if what you wanted to know was already asked.

An autoresponder is a great tool to use in your internet business to help keep in touch and to increase your sales. But finding the right one is not always the easiest task, and it may take a few tries to find the one that works best for you.
